Katy Stout Staffer Calls to Abolish ICE
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
San Antonio, TX: In an official campaign announcement on Friday, Democrat Katy Stout announced Trinity Erwin as a staffer on the “Katy Padilla Stout for Congress Team.”
Erwin’s own Instagram account shows where she stands. In her post, she wrote, “ABOLISH ICE, Democrats shut it down (AND DON’T CAVE), immigrants built and run this country, OUT OF MINNEAPOLIS.”

Kimmie Gonzalez, campaign manager for Brandon Herrera, made the following statement:
Calling to abolish ICE is dangerous, reckless, and completely out of step with the people of Texas’ 23rd Congressional District. Abolishing ICE would gut a critical federal law enforcement agency and make it harder to secure the border, stop human trafficking, and remove dangerous criminals from our communities.
Katy Stout needs to tell voters immediately whether abolishing ICE is her policy too. Stout has already called for a return to Biden’s open-border, “catch-and-release” policies. Now a staffer her campaign proudly welcomed to the team is demanding that Democrats abolish ICE and “DON’T CAVE.” The people of TX-23 deserve a direct answer: Does Katy Stout support abolishing ICE, yes or no?
