Brandon Herrera: America Needs Texas Congressional District 23 to Stay Red
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
San Antonio, TX — The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee recently added Texas’ 23rd Congressional District to its “Districts in Play” list, signaling that Democrats in Washington and their allies intend to spend heavily to flip the district in November.
Brandon Herrera, Republican nominee for Congress in Texas’ 23rd Congressional District, made the following statement in response:
America needs the 23rd to stay red. This district belongs to the people who live here, work here, raise families here, and keep our communities safe. Washington special interests do not get to decide who represents us in Congress. The people of southwest Texas do.
Both public polling and our internal polls show this remains a close race. National Democrats have now made clear that they are prepared to pour money into this district, and I am going to meet that challenge head-on. This election is a choice between common sense and crazy. I am fighting for border security, lower taxes, and parental rights. My opponent, Katy Stout, wants to abolish ICE, return to Biden’s open-border catch-and-release policies, raise taxes on everyone from waitresses to first responders, and bring children to drag shows.
That agenda is wrong for southwest Texas and wrong for America. If you believe in secure borders, lower taxes, and strong parental rights, I am asking you to stand with me. Together, we will keep Texas’ 23rd District red.
